Who are Closing Time...

Closing Time are the combined songwrtiting talents of Matt Price and Leon Chant.  The duo have been writing together since 1999 and have released two albums to date:

"Where Shadows Fall" Which is mainly a piano / vocal affair and features touches of saxophone, flute and backing vocals provided by Leon's sister Saffron.  The songs are laid back out and emotional. 

"This Life" is a very different sounding album but still has the piano and Matt's distinctive voice at the heart of each song.  The album has a full band on most tracks including a string quartet which helps to add diversity and enhance the different emotion of each song - so from the upbeat and punchy brass lines of the opening track "The Way You Love Me Everyday" to the reflective and whistful sound of the cello on "Nobody" the theme of different types of love that weaves it's way throughout the album is reflected in the music.

After a two year break Closing Time are currently writing new material for an album which will be released in the early part of 2009.  The band are also currently performing live again and are booking dates throughout 2008
